In times like these, it is especially important to realize that we can strengthen and protect ourselves. To do this, it’s important to consciously take time out of your daily routine and reflect. For example, you can meditate, do yoga, read a book, or just be. Be aware that it is important to reflect on yourself.
If we live by the Light Awareness Philosophy, we meditate every morning before our daily routine begins and every night before we go to bed. This helps us to get a conscious focus for everyday life and to consciously energize ourselves.
What are the benefits of daily reflection?
- you get a clear orientation for your daily life.
- you are strengthened and empowered within yourself.
- you have conscious strength to carry out your goals.
When we contemplate, we can consciously perceive unresolved issues within us and resolve them. The resolution of our issues helps us to attain a clear mental focus. When we become aware, we can learn to rest within ourselves and find our inner center. We learn to be steadfast and stand up for ourselves as well as for others.
Exercise for everyday life
Sit down completely relaxed, your hands resting on your abdomen. Consciously breathe deeply into your abdomen and out.
Notice consciously how your abdomen rises with each inhalation and retracts with each exhalation. Focus consciously on this movement.
Become aware of yourself and feel into yourself.
When you are ready, connect to the heart of the universe through your crown light point – the highest point of your body. Recognize your eternally expanded spirit.
Through your foot light points, located in the center of the soles of your feet, connect to the heart of our Mother Earth. Consciously take in her vitality and power and experience immortal life.
Then connect through your heart with THE heart, the source of all being and encounter the infinity of your soul in the ALL.
Sheltered, carried and protected go on a journey through your body.
Start with your feet and consciously feel them. Be grateful that they carry you every day, as well as your legs and pelvis.
After a few breaths, bring your attention further to your upper body, from your lower back to your neck. Consciously let go of all tension here.
When you are completely relaxed, consciously feel your arms and hands and let them go as well.
Finally, notice how your head rests relaxed on your neck, your jaw is loose.
When you feel that you have completely relaxed your body and you are ready to come back to the here and now, take a few deep breaths.
You can incorporate this exercise into your daily routine over and over again, giving yourself time-outs that help you center yourself.
This centering also helps you to feel that you are peaceful inside. Use this realization for yourself in moments of restlessness, and you will see how you find yourself again. Because you and all people, animals and plants are fundamentally good and peaceful at heart.
When you take time for yourself, you are in your power and peace. This strengthens your immune system.
