Vietnam has made its peace

The Vietnamese have forgiven the atrocities of war

The route of the World Healing Tour by David Wared led the travel community to Vietnam, which in the past had been severely shaken by several wars, especially the Vietnam War. With admiration and joy the participants noticed that in this open, cordial and lively country despite the war past no heaviness or pain is noticeable in the people. At a Peace Dinner given by the German Peace Movement, the North and South Vietnamese celebrated global peace as a small world family together with the Germans.

Forgiveness can be felt everywhere
People in Vietnam have forgiven long time ago. That can be experienced vividly everywhere. Forgiveness is possible when one has recognized in oneself the truth of one’s own greatness and wisdom. Then there is space and strength to release one’s so-called enemies from their deeds. This wise act of peace liberates and opens all participants for change, healing and for the future. Especially for the young generation the liberation from the burden of such a past is a gift.

Young generation is cheerful and open
Wherever the travel community stopped in Ho Chi Minh City or in the country, they were greeted with great joy, openness and cordiality. They quickly had deeper conversations about culture and peace, where they could learn and absorb a lot from each other. Here it became obvious again and again that there was great interest in topics of personal and social expansion.
The peace community from Germany met a group of young students for a scooter peace tour through the city. They were enthusiastic about the philosophical extension of peace to the level of feelings. Aspects and levels, they had not been taught before. It is precisely this curiosity and openness that are the best prerequisites for extending peace in a country like Vietnam and deepening it in further dialogues.

Peace Dinner connects Germans, North and South Vietnamese in Peace
In the Cat Tien National Park, the Germans invited to another Peace Dialogue of Cultures. The German Peace Community celebrated a very connecting and happy evening with the North and South Vietnamese. Joint dances, songs and peace dialogues brought the guests of these different cultures close together. Heartfelt embraces and cheerful faces showed that until recently strangers had united in their hearts. Again, the unity of all people was clearly felt and experienced. Peace makes this possible.
The cordial and open encounter with the people in Vietnam gives courage and joy for more cooperation on a global level for worldwide peace.
